Struggling?
Consider going to a quiet place, but not to think.
Do just the opposite. Create “pops,” (Pieces Of Peace.) These are intentional, momentary breaks from the busy mind streams. Here’s how you do it!
- Sit still and look around for brief moments…observe a tree, or the sky.
- If you are indoors…observe the space around you. Not the furniture, but the air that surrounds you.
- For a few seconds listen for the faintest sounds.
- Touch and feel something nearby while observing it.
Thinking about problems is definitely not the solution. The answers to your challenges will come about more likely when you quiet the mind.
The mind will inflate, exaggerate, and magnify your issues. When you make an effort to observe your mind’s activity, instead of following the dialogue, you will likely find clarity. You might even see solutions.
Generally, your problems start to reduce from mountains, to speed bumps.
Have faith in this and give it a try.
On April 12th we’re hosting a Meetup Event, Watch the Mind, Don’t Listen to It, where I’ll be sharing ways to get out of the mind and observe the drama it creates. Be sure to RSVP. Space is limited.
